These are some reviews of my Novel from Redcar and around Britain. Please send in yours. To bookreviews@isthatit.co.uk I thank you all for sending them to me. I have printed them as written and as sent to me.

What can l say the book was absolutely brilliant brought back heaps and
heaps of precious and much cherished memories.
When is the next one being released?? soon please!
How l came to find your book was quite easy we were in Yorkshire 4 weeks ago on
holiday and everywhere we went your book was advertised, in the end curiosity got the better of me and it was into W HSmith to my copy, l got back here to Sydney and once over the jet lag picked up your book to read and couldn't put it down There were so many
emotions, feelings and experiences l could relate too from all those
years ago. Now l have a 17 year old daughter of my own and know what she
is going through and l hope trying to enjoy it as much as l did.
Thank you so much again and please don't let it be too long before the
next book
regards Lynn

I have started reading the book and am glued already (I'm only on page 44!). My husbands having to do the housework as I'm not moving until I've finished it!!!!
It's wonderful that you have done this as it's something I have always wanted to do myself and never seem to have the time. I will get back to you when I have finished and let you know what I think.
Take care and happy writing
Jackie, Redcar

Hi, I just read the book and wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed it. I was a teenager in the late 80's so I could identify with some of the experiences in the book. Reading it brought back many memories. What I most enjoyed was the way the sex scenes were written. They captured vividly what sex is like between teenagers, fumbling, exciting, daunting and erotic, and all without the usual clichéd expressions. I am trying to start writing fiction myself and I found this book to be an enjoyable reassurance that stories about 'ordinary' people can often be far more interesting than the usual chick flick staple of celebrities and twenty something kitten heel wearing PR executives. Thank you for a great read. Look forward to seeing it worked into a film.
Best wishes
Jemma Piggins

Dear Philip
I thought the book was brilliant! it portrayed the people very well!! I myself live in in a small town and have four other friends, and when reading the book I immediately thought that you had been following us around! Our own characters seem so much like the book, there’s my friend Annett who moved here a little ago from down south (Amanda), Julie who has a serious boyfriend (Wendy) and myself like Sally who always ends up with the bad ones!!
Thanks!
Helen Evans
Is it possible yo get this book in the united states?

Hi
My names Louise, I saw your book in the High Street shop and just had to buy it! I bought it on the afternoon and had finished reading it by the evening! I just couldn’t put it down once I started! When is the next book out??? I can't wait to find out what happened to each one of the girls.
I found your book really interesting as I could picture the places they went and the things they did as i knew similar places myself. The school they went to and the description of the reception and the glass windows that slide open when u tap on them & then getting told to go and sit on the chairs round the corner, that’s go to my school! And also the way they organised sports day, where the best people got picked and everyone else sat around the track and watched! I left school a long time ago, my year was the last year out of the original building before they knocked it down to make way for a new one. everything in your book just seemed so close to home! I have many memories myself of our local Park!
Your book did make me think a lot about issues and I have come to realise a few things in my own life.
I would just like to say thank you for a wonderful book! and i can't wait until the next one comes out.
Yours
Louise Prouse

Hi,
I read about your book been made into a movie in my town and thought as i wish to
audition in the future that i should read your book. I've gotta say that
when i read it i was engrossed. All the thoughts and feelins in there
reminded me of how i felt. I think i relate more to Sally as i thought it
very special with my b/f n then turns out he's not so special, but as your
book teaches, you live and learn. :) I cant wait till your next book so if
you could email me any information of when you are releasing them i would be
very grateful.
Thanx,

I can relate to something with all of the characters in the book. I would be most grateful if you would email me back with details of the film as i would be very interested seeing it. It was one of the best books i have ever read. I couldn't put it down and i would like to congratulate you on your huge success, I am taken back by your talent.

I recently read your book and was amazed to find how much I could relate to the characters or at least see myself or friends in them. I am sixteen. myself and my best friend Liz we read the book within a day with much anticipation. We laughed at how much we emphasised with each of the girls we felt ourselves been there not only physically but literally with some of the situations they got into!
My favourite character was Karen because I felt I could relate to her partially in the way she puts on a brave front constantly and although puts out a very `hard' image is actually just a very confused little girl. I also found it interesting the way she wanted to go out with Dave the biker and would do anything to get into his `crew' as such. I've been in similar situations myself and saw parts of myself in her naivety and honesty.
My best friend Liz's favourite character was Sam. She liked Sam because not only did she find her witty, but she found herself in her. For example when she fainted in the sex education video, as Liz did herself! Also the way Sam fell for Chris so quickly as Liz often does that herself.
Thank you for entertaining us and helping us to look at our teenage years so far, with a pinch of salt, realising that what we go through, people all over the world are also going through.
Looking forward to your next exciting antidotes about life up north. ha, ha!
Thank you for your time,
Katie Mc Nicholas and Elizabeth Clarke (aka Karen and Sam!)
Phil great book not a reader but really enjoyed it . i can relate to a lot of the things you wrote about has are grew up the same time . ...

Just a FYI from the USA...I recall a government report
that was going on in the usual way about teenage
promiscuity...but in a footnote indicated that the
MEDIAN AGE of the fathers of these children was 29!
That means that there are as many above age 29 as
below! So...what we are really facing is rampant
child abuse. Adult men are clearly targeting teenage
girls for sex and getting away with it because
attention is always on female promiscuity with the
assumption of the involvement of teenage boys. But
these boys can't compete with the glamour and status
of dating a 'real man'. I would not be at all
surprised to find a similar situation in the UK. Good
Luck, Paris

I loved the book. I loved every part of it. it was funny reading. I could totally relate to Sally's character. The ending was so good it had me in tears. Thank you for such a great read and i can't wait 'til your next book!
Regards,
Laura Jane Heywood

My girlfriend and I read bits of the story together, and bits of the story on our own, and discussed frequently about how the story developed.
We enjoyed a mixture of comedy, drama, lust and love with interesting twists.
It was easy reading, very addictive and we are eager to see the next book to find out what happens next.

Dear Mr Sinclair,
Please can I just say how much I enjoyed reading "is that it". I felt the characters were VERY real!!!!!
The only problem I had with reading it is, I took it on holiday with me, and my fiancé
pinched the book off me so I couldn't read it all in one go like I wanted too! When I did
get a chance to read it, I couldn't tear myself away.
I can't wait to read your next book.
Yours sincerely
Marie

Please could you let me know when the second book is out, will def love to read it.
Keep up the good work.
